This past weekend, Isidora, Esther, Cristina, and I travelled 12 hours away to the far east part of the country for a 4 day long youth leadership camp. We had spent the last month preparing, fundraising, and learning in order to make this opportunity a success, and it was! The girls had a great time, and in addition to working with peers from all over the country to learn about communication, values, HIV-AIDS, self-esteem, diversity, and volunteerism, they also got to visit a historical photographic museum, an ecological reserve on the Parana River, the Itaipu Dam (the largest in the world), and enjoy a theater production about the bloodless revolution of Paraguay.
